In high-risk scenarios such as industrial buildings, energy facilities, and transportation hubs, safety is the core bottom line of building design. Explosion-proof fiber cement board, as a new type of special building material, has become the preferred material for modern safety protection engineering due to its multiple advantages, constructing an indestructible safety barrier for buildings.
Explosion-proof performance is its core advantage. These boards mostly adopt a composite structure of galvanized steel sheet and fiber cement layer. Some products are made by pressing two layers of 0.5mm galvanized steel sheet with an 8.5mm fiber cement layer, and the perforated design of the steel sheet strengthens the interlayer bonding. When encountering an explosive impact, the fiber cement layer can efficiently absorb the impact energy and disperse the pressure wave. Combined with the steel keel and rock wool filling layer, it forms multiple layers of protection, with an explosion resistance of up to 2.0MPa, effectively preventing the spread of shock waves and the flying of wall debris.
Lightweight and high-strength characteristics balance safety and ease of construction. Its density is only 1/3 that of concrete. Standard-sized boards are lightweight, with the total wall weight not exceeding 60kg/㎡, significantly reducing the structural load on the building. Simultaneously, its bending strength reaches 15-30MPa, requiring no special tools; it can be sawed and drilled using ordinary woodworking equipment, making it suitable for installation in irregularly shaped spaces. This reduces transportation and construction costs, shortening the construction period by more than 50%.
Excellent fire resistance and weather resistance broaden its application boundaries. As an A1-grade non-combustible material, its fire resistance limit can reach 2-4 hours, with no release of toxic gases at high temperatures, buying valuable time for personnel evacuation and rescue. Professional testing shows that the board performs stably in environments ranging from -50℃ to 150℃, resisting salt spray and acid/alkali corrosion, making it suitable for harsh environments such as coastal areas and chemical plants, with an outdoor service life of up to 25 years.
Environmentally friendly, economical, and multifunctional, its value is evident. Modern products achieve asbestos-free production, meeting green environmental protection standards and releasing no harmful substances. Its high surface smoothness allows it to be used directly as a decorative surface layer or subjected to various finishing treatments, while also possessing additional properties such as sound absorption, shock absorption, and anti-static properties. From a life-cycle perspective, its rust and corrosion resistance, extremely low maintenance costs, and one-stop design and installation services result in significant comprehensive benefits.
