Product Introduction

Moisture-resistant fiber cement composite steel plate uses wood fibers treated with alkyl alkoxysilane or acrylic emulsions to enhance the overall material's moisture resistance, effectively reducing performance degradation caused by water penetration. The high-density cement matrix, combined with waterproofing additives, acts as a moisture barrier, making it suitable for high-humidity environments. The moisture-resistant performance of moisture-resistant fiber cement composite steel plate is not dependent on a single layer. Instead, it forms a closed-loop protection system through moisture-resistant modification of the core layer, corrosion-resistant reinforcement of the panels, and optimized joint sealing, ensuring that each structural layer and construction process contributes effectively. The following describes these three aspects.

Core Moisture-Proofing:

Low-absorption quartz sand is used instead of ordinary sand to reduce moisture absorption in the core layer. High-pressure forming is employed during production, which not only increases core density but also reduces porosity. This results in moisture-resistant fiber cement composite steel plate with a water absorption rate far lower than that of ordinary concrete panels. Furthermore, they resist moisture and mildew during use.

Galvanized Steel Plate Corrosion Protection:

Hot-dip galvanizing provides resistance to humid environments. A nano-ceramic anti-corrosion coating can be applied to the surface to further reduce moisture vapor permeability. This process can also be used in coastal environments with high salt spray, resulting in a service life exceeding 25 years.

Joint Sealing Optimization:

Pre-sealed panel edges and equipped with dedicated water-swelling waterstops, and waterproof gaskets are used at the joints between the keel and the panels to isolate moisture. Moisture-Resistant Fiber Cement Composite Steel plate meet Class II waterproofing requirements and provide enhanced moisture-proofing during use.

Although moisture-resistant fiber cement composite steel plate offer excellent moisture-proofing properties, care must be taken to prevent moisture intrusion, avoid physical damage, and maintain the overall structure during storage to ensure their original performance. Humidity Control: Ensure the storage location is dry and avoid outdoor storage or basements. The relative humidity should be ≤75%.

Temperature Control:

The ideal storage temperature is 5-30°C. If it's below 0°C, residual moisture in the fiber cement layer may freeze and expand, causing the core layer to crack or separate from the steel sheet. If it's above 35°C, the double-sided steel sheet is susceptible to thermal expansion, leading to deformation and poor joints during installation. Ensure adequate insulation during winter storage, and avoid direct sunlight during summer.

Stacking Requirements:

Single stack height should not exceed 1.5m to prevent the fiber cement core from cracking and the steel sheet from deformation due to long-term pressure on the bottom sheet. Store multiple stacks side by side with a gap of ≥50cm between stacks for ventilation.

Regularly inspect:

Ensure the surface protective film is intact, the steel sheet is free of rust, and the edges are free of damage. Tap the surface of the sheet. If a hollow sound is heard, the core layer may be damp or cracked. Immediately isolate and check the humidity. Strictly adhere to the storage standards for moisture-resistant fiber cement composite steel plate to effectively ensure their stable performance and avoid material failure due to improper storage.

Many users are unaware of moisture-resistant fiber cement composite steel plate when they first use them. In such cases, we require inspection, which primarily includes the following:

Appearance inspection:

Surface inspection for water stains, mildew, discoloration, and bulging of edges;

Physical testing:

Weight increase, decrease in bending strength, rust, or peeling coating;

Physical testing:

Weight increase, decrease in bending strength, rust, or peeling coating;

Water absorption test: Samples are taken and measured for 24-hour water absorption. If the water absorption exceeds the product standard,it is considered damp.

If moisture-resistant fiber cement composite steel plate are found to be damp, they must be dried promptly and the protective coating repaired. If you are unsure how to repair, please contact customer service.
