201 Stainless Steel Fiber Cement Composite Steel Plate
201 stainless steel fiber cement composite steel plate is composed of 201 stainless steel and a fiber cement layer. 201 stainless steel is a 200 series austenitic stainless steel containing manganese and nitrogen as nickel substitutes, resulting in excellent metallic strength. While 201 stainless steel is resistant to weak acids and bases, its corrosion resistance is lower than that of 304 stainless steel. Therefore, it is typically used in dry or low-corrosion environments. The 201 stainless steel fiber cement composite steel plate is 9.5mm thick and features 5-7 circular holes perforated throughout. The holes are serrated and penetrate into the high-strength fiber-reinforced cement pressure plate. High pressure is used to tightly bond the three elements. When the cement solidifies, it forms a fire-resistant and explosion-proof fiber cement composite steel plate that combines the functions of both steel plate and cement. This product is widely used in the power, metallurgy, textile, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries, and has been widely recognized by users.
Blast-resistant walls are composed of a steel keel, 201 stainless steel fiber cement composite steel plates, and rock wool. The fiber-cement layer sandwiched between the two steel plates primarily provides fire and explosion resistance, absorbing energy. When an explosion occurs, the outer steel plate first bears the initial impact force, transferring it to the fiber-cement layer. This layer dissipates energy through localized crushing and cracking. Simultaneously, the rigidity of the steel keel prevents the wall from being "penetrated" or collapsing entirely, reducing the shock wave pressure to a safe level. The 201 stainless steel fiber cement composite steel plate not only resists explosions but also provides fire protection. The fiber-cement layer itself is non-combustible and has low thermal conductivity, slowing heat transfer, resulting in a fire resistance rating of 1-3 hours. The double-layer stainless steel plate forms a physical barrier, preventing direct flame penetration and buying time for evacuation and firefighting.
How should 201 stainless steel fiber cement composite steel plates be properly installed? During installation, please note the following points:
Preparation:
Verify that the panel specifications match the application, that the 201 stainless steel surface layer is free of scratches, and that the fiber cement layer is free of cracks. Prepare all necessary tools for installation, such as self-tapping screws, fire-resistant sealant, and expansion bolts.
Pier Installation:
Maintain spacing of 600mm or less, with vertical deviation ≤2mm/m. Secure with M10 expansion bolts. Apply anti-rust and fire-retardant paint after welding. Note that a 3-5mm expansion gap should be left in the pier frame to prevent deformation due to thermal expansion and contraction.
Panel Installation:
Horizontal installation is preferred for external explosion-proof panels. Self-tapping screw spacing should be ≤300mm, and a 3-5mm gap should be left between panels. Fire-resistant sealant should be used to fill the joints to ensure airtightness.
Quality Inspection:
After installation, the 201 stainless steel fiber cement composite steel panels should be tested for wall strength, sealing, and fire resistance. Only use them after the overall installation is complete and no problems are found.
Although both are made of stainless steel, what are the advantages of 201 stainless steel fiber cement composite steel panels in terms of use?
Cost Advantage:
Compared to 304 stainless steel, 201 stainless steel partially replaces nickel with manganese, resulting in a 30%-50% lower price, making it ideal for projects with limited budgets.
Explosion-resistant and fire-resistant:
The fiber cement layer absorbs explosive energy and offers a fire resistance of 4 hours or more, making it suitable for use in high-risk environments such as chemical and petroleum industries.
Decorative Applications:
The 201 stainless steel surface layer can meet aesthetic requirements, such as curtain walls and partitions, and can also be used in industrial protection.
